Michigan Meetings Expo 2024 Recap!

What a successful event! We are delighted with how well the Michigan Meetings Expo went. Michigan Meetings Expo was held at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan where 200+ meeting planners and suppliers came together for a full day of education, networking and games! At this event, ResultsAtHand provided the event management software to print badges onsite, check guests into the event, scan QR codes to play games and win points, create matches between exhibitors and meeting planners, and so much more!

Guest Check-In and Onsite Badge Printing

As guests arrived at this Olympic-themed Expo, our event management software allowed expo-goers to seamlessly check in and ensure that their attendance was captured and recorded. Once guests checked in, our onsite printer printed name badges, eliminating the hassle of office printing or any worry that preprinted name badges would not arrive on time. This process allows for a simple and stress-free environment so that guests and organizers could spend more time enjoying the event.

Sharing the Knowledge

Following the check in and badge printing process, event-goers listened to Randy Dean from Randall Dean Consulting & Training, LLC share his enlightening knowledge on navigating technology in an ever-changing industry. After listening to Randy’s speech, exhibitors and meeting planners engaged in round table discussions where they shared pointers and strategies about how to create and execute exceptional events and meetings.

Making Matches

The networking didn’t end there! After expo-goers shared their event planning tips and tricks, our matching making app matched exhibitors with meeting planners based on their needs through a mutual selection matching process that our software does behind the scenes. The conversations allowed suppliers to share insights on how their products and services could elevate the meeting planner’s next event.

Let the Games Begin!

After a successful check-in process and a morning filled with powerful networking opportunities, a tradeshow followed where attendees had the opportunity to set up booths in order to showcase their product or service. All of the booths were set up so that event-goers could play fun-filled games to win points. Each booth was assigned a country to keep up with the Olympic theme of the Expo. These games were intended to create a fun atmosphere for participants to get to know exhibitors and compete for prizes. Games included basket toss games, ring tosses, and so much more. During the games, booth attendants scanned the QR codes on the guest’s badge to award points. The more points guests received, the better chance they had at winning special prizes at the conclusion of the event.

One event participant, Shannon Osburn with Automotive Industry Action Group, shared her experience with the in-app games:

One of the highlights of the Michigan Meetings Expo was the Olympic Style Tradeshow! Using the app, we met with the booths where we either had to answer a question or play a game. It was so much fun. The leaderboard kept us up to date on how we were doing…as I spent most of the game in first place there was some fun competition with a colleague who was in second. It was great networking and a lot of fun. Definitely a memorable experience and I ended up taking the bronze medal which isn’t so bad.     Using the app was super easy and a great tool!

Event Conclusion

The tradeshow concluded, and Michigan Meetings Expo attendees heard from 3 more amazing speakers! Continuing with the Olympic theme, Mariah Manuel-Berry, Lu Parsons, and Robin Shear shared their knowledge, trends, and strategies to advance meeting and event planning from good to gold.

Nearing the end of the Michigan Meetings Expo, medals and prizes were awarded to attendees with the most points from the tradeshow games. With an Olympic-themed event, the games and prizes were able to bring people together for some fun-filled competition. Congratulations to all our winners!

Overall, we are so happy with how the Michigan Meetings Expo turned out! Without the help of event participants, this event would not have been possible.
