We have two tech trends that are brand new for 2016: virtual reality and engagement apps. Brand new to the scene, these technologies are game changers for the event industry. Association and event professionals should watch how they become the norm throughout 2016.

Even though the remaining trends have been researched before, we still consider them worthwhile for 2016. One of these trends that stand out is responsive design. With the Google search update in April famously named Mobilegeddon, this trend has been brought back to life from 2014.
